Physiology
Physiology is the study of the human body.  This course covers general anatomical vocabulary, tissues, and 16 body systems.  Some highlights of the year are the Pickle Autopsy, Tissue Trading Cards, a forensic study, the Cranial Nerve Project (which includes a music video), mapping the brain on a swim cap, determining blood type, a urinalysis, creating an anti-tobacco ad, and various dissections including an eyeball, a heart, and a fetal pig. Students are required to complete Biology prior to taking this class.  Completing Chemistry before taking this class can be very helpful.
